A sophomore at the University of Memphis, Jasmine Hockett is passionate about leadership and community involvement. She is an advocate for the empowerment of youth leadership. Hockett is a former communications student whom is now double majoring in broadcast journalism and public relations with a minor in Spanish. In her free time she enjoys performing arts and public speaking. Some say the best virtue is patience. For Hockett, the best virtue is definitely the joy of a good laugh because it physically strengthens the heart and mentally eases the soul.
Though Hockett loves the idea of someday being a reknown broadcast journalist, she secretly wants to be a fashion designer and a CEO of a company. Dreams, ambition, and aspiration are no stranger to the Hockett. If she could, Hockett would even perform with Beyonce in front of millions of people.
